This is a 45-year-old single malt from the closed Convalmore Distillery, independently bottled by Gordon & MacPhail as part of their Private Collection series. Distilled in 1975 and bottled in 2020, this rare expression comes from a single refill American hogshead, cask #2563, yielding only 146 bottles. Convalmore, a Speyside distillery, was mothballed in 1985, making releases like this a rare glimpse into its historic character.
