Description
Founded in 2018, Abbie Neilson and Chris Jaume decided to learn about the process of whisky after a trip to Sullivans Cove in early 2014. Cooper King Distillery, located in Yorkshire, England, launched its Expedition Series with Transatlantic. This single malt whisky is matured in a combination of Bordeaux wine and Kentucky bourbon casks, crafted on-site using floor-malted heritage grains, hand-mashed, and subjected to a long fermentation process before being double copper pot distilled. It is bottled at 48% ABV, is non-chill filtered, and is part of a limited release of 1208 bottles.
