Nose
Rich oak, Madagascan vanilla and Malted Milk biscuits smothered with red fruit compote. Honey-drizzled fruit with a subtle spiced-sweetness. Moist and slightly under-baked pain au raisin straight out of the oven. Vanilla sponge. Notes of a red berry compote sitting on warm custard with Lyle's Golden Syrup. Subtle vanilla-laden oakiness. Juicy fruits, pears, baked apples, a little touch of vanilla and cinnamon.
Palate
Oily, thick maple syrup, custard creams and maraschino cherry. Sweet & oily with a lovely balance of tongue-prickling mild pepper. Sweet pastry element with emphasis on the custard filling. A very faint grassiness appears before the sweet buttery viscosity washes over it. More vanillas and a little bit of added cherry.
Finish
Sweet cookie dough, rye spiciness with a touch of green pepper. Mouth coating, sweet & viscous. The gentle pepper-tingle tapers off leaving a lovely warm glow. Long and spicy, like a white peppery spice.
