Description
Craigellachie was built in 1891 and is one of few distilleries in Scotland to have retained its worm tub condensers. These provide less copper contact which creates a robust and weighty spirit that takes to longer maturation times like a duck to water. This 37-year-old was matured in refill casks before being finished in first-fill ex-bourbon casks, which provided further depth and complexity to the single malt.
