Description
Daftmill Farmhouse was granted a license in 2003 allowing its first distillation to take place in December 2005. As an independent distiller, owner Francis Cuthbert's main aim was to produce a light Lowland whisky, but - as the site is still an active farm - the distillery has a silent season in spring and autumn whilst work happens in the fields. This single cask bottling, Cask #31, was distilled on 8th July 2009 and bottled on 12th January 2022, exclusively for Luvians @ The Fife Whisky Festival. Only 211 bottles were released. Daftmill is known for using its own barley, grown on the farm, and un-peated malt.
