Description

Murray McDavid was formed in 1996 by Mark Reynier, Simon Coughlin and Gordon Wright and was named after Reynier's grandparents Harriet Murray and Jock McDavid. It quickly became known for its irreverent tasting notes, edgy Gaelic slogan - 'Clachan a Choin' - and later for its ACEing process of finishing whisky in wine casks. They are based at Speyside's Coleburn distillery. Dallas Dhu is a closed distillery, operating as a museum since 1992, and this 1979 vintage was aged for 23 years and bottled by Murray McDavid as part of their 'Mission' range.
