Description

The Dalmore 12 Year Old is a distinguished Highland single malt Scotch whisky, known for its complexity, richness, and smoothness. It is initially aged for nine years in American white oak ex-bourbon casks, with a portion then transferred to aged Oloroso sherry casks for a final three years of maturation before being married back together. This process creates a full-bodied profile with notes of citrus, dark chocolate, sherry-soaked fruit, and aromatic spices. This particular bottling is a pre-2007 version of the classic expression.

Historical context
Dalmore distillery was used as a deep-sea mine production centre by the Royal Navy between 1917 and 1920. Legend has it that in 1263, a man called Colin of Kintail saved the life of Scotland's King Alexander III, leading to the stag emblem.
