Description
Dalwhinnie is one of the highest distilleries in Scotland at 1164 feet above sea level and set in the beautifully scenic Cairngorm National Park. The name Dalwhinnie is derived from the Gaelic word Dail-coinneeamh - meaning 'meeting place' - referring to the meeting of ancient cattle drovers' routes through the mountains. This limited-edition 17-year-old single malt celebrates the distillery's 125th anniversary, founded in 1898, and was bottled in 2023. It is finished in heavily charred American oak hogsheads, enhancing notes of aromatic spice, caramel, and vanilla.
