Description

Dalwhinnie is one of the highest distilleries in Scotland, located in the Cairngorm National Park. The name means 'meeting place'. This 15 Year Old expression is a Highland single malt, known for its gentle, clean, and crisp profile. It is aged in a combination of bourbon and oloroso sherry casks, offering a malty-sweet taste with a subtle hint of smoke. It is part of Diageo's Classic Malts range.

Aromatic, toffee, fruit salad, lush nectarine, custard. Floral, apple blossom, honeysuckle, apple peels, pear, heather honey, red apple, spearmint, citrus, vanilla, light smoke.
Palate
Malty, walnuts steeped in manuka honey with vanilla sponge. Gentle smoke weaves through cereal with spice. Tropical notes, apples, pineapple, banana, salt, highland toffee. Smooth, soft, lasting heather-honey sweetness, citrus-fruit, malted bread, almonds. Tea, crispy citrus, sugared barley.
Finish
Long, malty, walnut, almond. Lingering, intense, sweet, with smoke, peat, and malt. Medium, warm, honeyed afterglow with a hint of smoke and lingering sweetness. Nutty with spices. Smoky and intense.
