- Nose
- Clear honeyed and floral notes, reminiscent of heather, with orange sweetness (orange peels, ripe and juicy orange), raisins, and licorice. Strong sense of cereal, with a nice mineral peat and hinted smokiness. Also notes of white peach, blanched almonds, honeysuckle, and apple.
- Palate
- Great body with vibrant mineral peat and more intense, dirty smoke, leading to a farmy character. Delicate light honey, heather, orange, and dried coconut notes. Also features dry sweetness, vanilla, oak tannins, apples, and spicy white pepper. Clean cereals with a touch of earthiness/peat, and a reprise of fruit and floral notes.
- Finish
- Medium to long, with balsamic notes of resin. Spicy and sweet, with sweetness dissipating to leave a spicy dry vanilla taste. Short to moderate length, with marzipan, slight oaky bitterness, faint fruit, and mouth-drying tannins. Lingering sweetness after smoke clears, persistent malty, nutty, and fruity notes. Gives way to smoke, peat, and malt.
