Description

Produced from organic barley, this is the breakout whisky that emerges from the shadow from the highland producer. The smooth and creamy texture makes it an enjoyable rich malt honeyed spice with a crisp long lasting oaky finishing.

Nose
Surprisingly earthy and musty. Dried out apple core, honey, as well as a bit of molasses and white wine. Almost treads into apple cider vinegar territory before notes of cantaloupe enter the picture. Not terribly compelling, all things considered.
Palate
Light and crisp upfront, followed by a building honey and caramel richness. Baked Granny Smith apple and warming honey hit a nice apex after a few seconds.
Finish
Takes an earthy turn after the palate peaks, like a honeyed white tea mixed with old apple juice. Slightly drying and tannic, but not aggressively so. Becomes surprisingly savory as it sits, bordering on applewood smoked meat.
