Description
John Dewar & Sons is a subsidiary of historic rum producers and multinational drinks company, Bacardi, and is tasked with managing its Scotch whisky portfolio. The company was acquired from Diageo in 1998 and was merged with Bacardi's William Lawson Distillers. John Dewar & Sons continues to market both its own and the William Lawson brands. Dewar's White Label, created in 1899 by Master Blender A.J. Cameron, is a classic blended Scotch whisky known for its smooth, honeyed flavor and versatility. It combines around 30 to 40 single malt and grain whiskies from across Scotland, with Aberfeldy serving as the heart malt. The whisky undergoes a 'double ageing' process where it rests again in oak casks after blending to allow flavors to merge.
