Description

The SMWS Pineapple Bananza Batch 38 is a triple-distilled Irish single malt whiskey, created in collaboration with Dunville's Irish Whiskey. It was distilled on April 30, 2014, and aged for 10 years. This small-batch release was matured in a combination of first-fill bourbon and oloroso sherry casks, contributing to a full-bodied, tropical, and fruit-forward profile. It is part of the Scotch Malt Whisky Society's experimental Heresy range and is available exclusively to members.

Palate
Chocolate liqueur, almond cream, burnt banana bread crust, smooth texture with orange liqueur-spiked coffee, pear drops, chocolate lime, mandarin segments, bright, bittersweet, satisfyingly complex, exotic, fruit-forward, melon, 'pineapple bananza!'.
Finish
Wash of red wine tannins, banana bread with chocolate chips lingering, a final indulgent note from this tropical treat.
