Based in the Netherlands, The Ultimate Whisky Company was created in 1994 by Han and Maurice van Wees, who select casks of single malt for bottling with a commitment to natural colour and non-chill filtering. This Edradour bottling, distilled in 2010 and aged for 9 years, was bottled in 2020 at cask strength. Edradour is a Highland single malt whisky distillery in Pitlochry, Perthshire, known for its traditional approach and unpeated whiskies. This particular release was matured in a first-fill sherry butt, likely a Pedro Ximénez cask, known for its significant sherry influence.

Thick and syrupy mouthfeel, sweet, some heat, toffee, brown butter, cherry, blackberry, currant, fig, faint pepper, milk chocolate, chili pepper, pickled lemons, balsamic, tablet, toasted cereals, roasted nuts, bitter-sweet toffee, apricot jam on challah toast, rich beeswax note.
