Harz Mountain single malt whisky began in 2002, as a nameless project in the old forge (the original company building - built between 1250 and 1270) in the town of Wieda at the southern Harz Mountains. After the company moved to the Elsbachtal (valley of the Els river) in the nearby village of Zorge, the name for the Harz Mountain single malt whisky was born - "The Glen Els". This Elsburn Ruby Port Cask Batch #2 is a single malt whisky from Hercynian Distilling in Germany, bottled in 2023. It was matured in Ruby Port casks and is noted for its fruity berry notes, raisins, and a hint of spices. It is bottled at 46% ABV, without artificial coloring and is non-chill filtered.
