- Nose
- Aromas of dried fruits, subtle vanilla, a touch of spice, and distinct smokiness, with earthy notes, musty wet forest soil, orange, and malt. Orange peel and pepper.
- Palate
- Rich flavours of dark chocolate, dried apricots, ripe plums, balanced with notes of charred oak and vanilla. A smoky undertone carries throughout, with slightly fruity, strong licorice, burning wood fire, peat smoke, herbs, and sweet, cerealy, almost bourbon-like notes of caramel and bitter orange. Peaty, smoky, with an Islay earthiness influence, maritime, coastal edge, some toffee, and sweetness.
- Finish
- Long and warming, with lingering smoky notes and a hint of spice. Mild, short, malty with charcoal and some caramel. Not sharp or bitter, with a touch of chocolate and lingering smoke.
