This is a rum finished single malt whisky from Danish distillery Fary Lochan, Batch #2. Distilled in 2012 and bottled in 2020, it was initially matured for 4 years in ex-bourbon barrels before a 3.5-year finish in ex-rum casks. This is an unpeated whisky.

Nose
Light and fruity with a sugary sweetness to it. Ripe apples and racked warehouse. With time aniseed, and cool, crisp notes of vanilla beans.
Palate
Full bodied and big in style. Lots of spices up front - white and black pepper as well as more exotic spices. Unsalted peanuts.
Finish
Medium long finish. Remains quite fruity. White pepper and milk chocolate. Surprisingly “unsweet”, but right at the end there's white sugar notes. Dry-ish towards the end.
