Description

This Faude Roggen & Weizen Whisky is crafted from 100% regional grain from the Bötzingen area, with the main role played by full-grain wheat, paired with earthy rye. It is aged for at least 3 years in new American white oak and new European oak casks, resulting in a characterful whisky with rich body and powerful wood structure.

Nose
a very nice, intense nose with spicy and strong whole grain notes, toasted cereals come to mind, some roasted almond, woody, spicy tones that are straightforward and strong in character giving expression to the still young whisky. In the background I find associations of bread dough, roasted coffee, burnt sugar and an idea of caramel.
Palate
On the palate, soft caramel nuances meet with piquant spices, creating a pleasant warmth.
Finish
The finish is long and velvety, with a hint of honey and a delicate, spicy aftertaste.
