Nose
Oak barging in like a ringmaster with fruity acrobats, loaves of bread, olive oil and serrano ham, joined by chocolate, cinnamon, maple and crunchy nut cornflakes with water.
Palate
Sweetness dominating with deep dark syrupy pleasures of manuka honey, dried figs, preserved cherries and madeira molasses cake, opening into blackcurrant chews, salted caramel ice cream, honeycomb and pecans.
Finish
Dense, oily and tarry barrel char and molasses with a bittersweet edge of coffee-caramel, burnt coconut, earthy licorice root and warming szechuan pepper.
