Nose
The nose is quite light, yet there is a certain richness. There are some sherried peels and sultanas with notes of barley sugar and cereal sweetness. Hints of honey and oily walnut with a rubbed petal note.
Palate
The palate is medium-bodied with a thick mouthfeel. There are notes of winter fruitcake with all the requisite spice. Notes of aniseed and barley with a good dollop of malt extract. There are hints of sherried peels.
Finish
The finish is long and dry with peppery oak.
