Description

This complex whisky has been aged in a collection of first and second-fill American and Hungarian oak casks, housed in Warehouse 2 until it was bottled in 2022. Fettercairn is a malt distillery in the Highland region of Scotland and part of the Whyte & Mackay Group portfolio since 1973. While it has always been an important contributor to the company's blends, its single malt brand has been promoted with increasing importance, particularly since its relaunch in 2018. This is the fourth release in Fettercairn's Warehouse 2 Collection, distilled in 2014.

Aromas of vanilla pods, poached pears, cracked black pepper, apple strudel fruit notes, Fry's Orange Cream, green apple, apricot, white chocolate, vanilla essence, icing sugar, and confected red berries.
Palate
Notes of toffee, honey, walnuts, honeydew melon, passion fruit, sweet oak, charred orange peel, red berries, espresso, crisp green apples, white pepper, cinnamon, tropical fruit (pineapple, mango, cranberry), stone fruits (peach, apricot), citrus peel, and toasted nuts.
Finish
Lingering with late palate tannin, soft cocoa, grapefruit peel, decent length, peppery heat, crisp green apple, sweet honey, chocolate, toffee, maltiness, slightly drying, hot, and tannic.
