Description

This is the second release in Fettercairn's Warehouse 2 series, a 2009 vintage Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky bottled in 2021, making it a 12-year-old expression. It was matured in a combination of 29 hand-selected first-fill ex-American rye and first-fill ex-bourbon barrels. This limited edition release of 6,000 bottles is unpeated and non-chill filtered, presented at 48.5% ABV.

Nose
Aromas of honey, sugared almonds, soft spices, tropical fruits, and vanilla. Hints of apple, juicy pineapple, banana, lemon candy, marzipan, and cinnamon.
Palate
Layered with tropical and citrus fruits, sweet cassia bark, moist ginger cake, warming maple syrup, and roasted Arabica coffee. Notes of candied orange peels, cinnamon, ginger, and anise.
Finish
Medium, slightly drying, with baking spice, dark syrup, and sweet citrus. Also notes of drying cacao, ginger, sour pineapple, and apple.
