The Fleischmann brothers, known for their yeast production, opened their first distillery in 1870 and later moved spirits production to Owensboro after Prohibition, acquiring the Daviess County Distillery in 1940. This particular bottling was matured for four years in oak casks and is bottled at 86 proof (43% ABV).
