Description

Frysk Hynder Single Malt is a Dutch single malt whisky, distilled and bottled by Us Heit Distillery in Bolsward, Friesland. It holds the distinction of being the first single malt produced in the Netherlands, originating as a hobby project from the Us Heit beer brewery. The whisky is distilled from 100% malt, with barley grown ecologically in the Netherlands, and undergoes a double distillation process. It is matured for at least three years in used casks, and for this 2004 vintage, specifically in red wine casks. The whisky is unblended and bottled without deep cooling or filtration, preserving its valuable aroma. The bottle features a distinctive cork with a pewter horse head, symbolizing the strength of this Frisian whisky.
