Description

Named after the company that operated out of Dundashill distillery in the early 1800s, the Glasgow Distillery Company was set up by Liam Hughes, Mike Hayward and Ian McDougall in 2013 and began producing Makar Gin in the early stages. Having laid down the first casks in March 2015, the Glasgow Distillery Co., hoping to welcome the new era of distilling in Glasgow, were able to proudly release their first single malt. This is the second cask strength batch of Glasgow 1770 Peated single malt, matured in virgin American white oak casks and finished in Pedro Ximénez sherry hogsheads. It is a limited edition release of 1000 bottles, bottled without chill filtration and with natural colour at 60.7% ABV.

Long and warming with lingering peat smoke, dried fruits, and a touch of chocolate-covered orange. Notes of salted caramel, liquorice, and lingering spice.
