Description
This 1770 Glasgow Single Malt Scotch Whisky Release No. 1 marks a historic milestone, being the first whisky produced in the city of Glasgow in over a century. Handcrafted by The Glasgow Distillery Company, it was distilled in traditional copper pot stills using Scottish-grown malted barley and pure water from Loch Katrine. Matured for 3 years in first-fill ex-bourbon casks and finished in virgin oak, this unpeated expression was released in 2018 as a limited edition of 5,000 bottles, initially available by ballot. It has received multiple awards, including Gold at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
