This is a 25-year-old single malt whisky from the closed Glen Albyn distillery, independently bottled by The Scotch Malt Whisky Society (SMWS) as release 69.8. Glen Albyn, located in Inverness in the Highland region of Scotland, operated from 1846 to 1983, with most of its output used in blends, making single malt bottlings rare. This particular expression was distilled in 1979 and bottled in 2005.
