Description

You're holding the first in the storytelling series of cask strength, single cask malt whiskies from independent bottler, FABLE. With each series we explore little known myths. We like to think our whiskies, in their truest form, combined with mythical stories are for far from ordinary.

Nose
Young and bold, very fresh and tight. Lemon juice, barley sweetness, some limoncello-like notes. Later on more grapefruit and other bitter citrus notes. Something salty, a bit of ozone(?) and fresh herbs, this mix of citrus and salt could almost be unpeated Caol Ila (or a Margarita, of course...).
Palate
Pretty strong but well-balanced. Mineral and chalky, as well as a fatty background. Bitter and lightly acidic. Lime juice and some cereals.
Finish
Very tight and narrow, but again a great combination: fresh lemons and mineral fizziness. You could drink this almost as a cocktail! Slightly rough now and then, with ethanol punching through the citrus fruits.
