Description

An interesting single malt release from Compass Box, and the second in a series of three bottlings in their 2019 Myths & Legends series. The whisky was matured predominantly in recharred American oak barrels (81.0%), with 3% having been matured in refill sherry butts. This limited edition expression consists solely of Speyside single malt from Glen Elgin distillery, including parcels aged between 16 and 23 years. It was bottled at 46% abv free from chill filtration and limited to 4,446 bottles worldwide. The series aims to challenge myths and legends about Scotch whisky, such as the influence of region over process and the blending of single malts.
