Description

Glen Flagler was a short-lived Lowland distillery, built by Inver House Distillers within its Moffat complex between 1964-65. Distillation commenced on February 25, 1965, and the distillery functioned as the primary malt distillery, producing a non-peated spirit. It was subsequently closed in July 1985 after just twenty years, with the site later converted into a warehouse facility. The whisky was used for blends and also marketed as its own single malt brand.

Nose
Fresh fruit with lemon and green pears, some grassy notes, some malt notes, sweet, cereal, vanilla, hints of violet and Cognac.
Palate
Honeyed malt, rounder and maltier, not as fresh as on the nose, vanilla, some spice appears after a while with a hint of bitterness. Nutty cereal and still a little citrus kicking around.
Finish
Barley sugar, lemon sherbet, a bit drying with some grainy notes. Not the longest or the most memorable finish.
