Description
Glen Garioch distillery was founded in 1797 by John Manson, making it amongst the oldest distilleries in Scotland. It is known for its heavy, thick, cereal and spicy notes, which are attributed to its short fermentation period. In 1908 the distillery was bought over by Sanderson & Son, before merging with Booth's Distilleries and then DCL by 1937. Sadly, by this point production was slowing down. The 12 Year Old is a Highland single malt matured in a classic marriage of bourbon and sherry casks, bottled at 48% ABV and non-chill filtered, offering a full-bodied and characterful experience.
