Description

Glen Garioch distillery was founded in 1797 by John Manson, making it amongst the oldest distilleries in Scotland, and is known for its heavy, thick, cereal and spicy notes, which are attributed to its short fermentation period. This 1995 Vintage is significant as it was from the final year of Glen Garioch's old-make, before its temporary closure in 1995, and represents one of the last lightly peated whiskies from the distillery before it changed its style to unpeated upon reopening in 1997.

Finish
Medium long with lingering pancake syrup and whiffs of smoke, black pepper, coconut, nutmeg, salted caramel, oak, protein, sweet nuts, clean, fresh, grip, spice, soft peat smoke, sweet fruity barley.
