Description

A historic Highland malt distillery and one of the oldest still operating in Scotland, Glen Garioch was established in 1797. This 10-year-old Glen Garioch, part of the Equinox & Solstice Summer 2022 edition from independent bottler Decadent Drinks Ltd, was distilled in 2011 and matured in first-fill barrels. It is described as a full-bodied, fruity, and naturally sweet dram, with a waxy and refreshing zesty side, perfect for long summer nights.

Nose
Bright and fresh with hints of green apples, lemons and mirabelles. Oily cereals, freshly kilned malt, light waxes and pollen-heavy yellow meadow flowers. Jasmin tea and blossoms.
Palate
Oily and waxy, with balanced sweetness, honeyed notes and some nicely chalky and mineral touches. Pear, green plums, artisan lemonade and grapefruit. Light waxy notes, subtle herbs and juniper.
Finish
Medium long, clean and zesty. Sweetness, soft waxes, flowers and stones. A slice of sweet lime that fell into a glass of ale. Green, grassy and floral edge.
