Description

Glen Garioch distillery was founded in 1797 by John Manson, making it amongst the oldest distilleries in Scotland. It is known for its heavy, thick, cereal and spicy notes, which are attributed to its short fermentation period. This particular expression was distilled in 1997 and bottled in 2012, matured in a combination of first and second-fill bourbon barrels. It was one of the first non-peated whiskies distilled at Glen Garioch after the distillery reopened in 1997.
