Nose
initially sweet on the nose, aromas of apricot jam and honey mingling with citrus peel and charred mature oak. This is then replaced by polished leather and a subtle hint of smoke, countered by a sweet herbal piquancy.
Palate
smooth and balanced. Delicate stewed fruit flavours are followed by cracked peppercorns, zesty mandarin and aniseed.
Finish
lingering finish of mature oak, dried tobacco and gentle spices.
