- Nose
- Slightly floral and malty, with hydrangea buds, a hint of basil/mint, sweet and rich vanilla, light sherry influence, baking spices, fig newtons, light apple, and berry fruit jam. Intensely sherried with cacao, cherry, blackberry, wine vinegar, lacquered wood, coffee, and a bit of smoke. Malty, sharp floral citrus, sour berries, green apple, light musty wood, and mild sherry wine funk.
- Palate
- Sweet, malty, floral vanilla, with oak and spice, sherried raisin, blackcurrant soda, apricots, nectarines, and apples. Medium creamy mouthfeel with vanilla, pudding, raisins, cocoa, cottage cheese, cereal, lemons, apricots, bell pepper, and grass. Cherries (sweet and sour), citrus, balsamico, dark chocolate, tannins, mushrooms, and sulphur. Caramel, malt, smooth wood, bright berries, pears, sharp citrus, mild sherry funk, black liquorice, and hot spice.
- Finish
- Oaky spice, malt, and slight sherry sweetness with a medium length. Spice and earth, herbal aspects, grassy, bitter, black pepper, white pepper, dandelion, and mustard greens. Reminiscent of Schwarzwalder kirsch, with earthy notes, dried herbs, pecan nuts, sulphur, and a whiff of smoke. Wood funk, big hot spice, chalky, and strong dark black liquorice char.
