Description

Gordon & MacPhail's 'Private Collection' is a label reserved for the bottler's most prestigious and rare whiskies. This one, from the Glen Grant Distillery, was laid down in 1965, and bottled after an incredible fifty-four years. Like the other members of the range, it comes in a gorgeous wooden display case.

A basket laden with windfall apples. Aromas of clementine and vibrant orange sit upon intense polished oak. Touches of vanilla begin to come through with flashes of nutmeg and cinnamon.
Palate
Creamy; sweet oak tannins offer balance to candied orange and tonka bean. Decadent rose and jasmine flavours emerge with a subtle eucalyptus edge.
Finish
Sweetness working in harmony with dashes of white pepper. Delicate herbal elements remain, slowly fading into eucalyptus.
