Nose
Fine and harmonious bouquet with notes of mint, licorice, tobacco, tar, cream cake, and slight phenolic nuances. It's smooth, rich, and sweet with oily notes of precious woods, eucalyptus, apples, orange blossom honey, bergamot, beeswax, and apricot jam. There are also hints of red fruit, cola, tamarind, leather, old wooden boxes, black olives, cinnamon, and burnt sugar.
Palate
Extraordinary complexity with a slight astringency of tannins and a velvety structure. It offers a gentle peppery heat, pipe tobacco, cigar boxes, red fruits, tamarind, chinotto, tropical excursions, dried fruit mix, cinnamon, licorice, and herbal notes like eucalyptus. Bitter chocolate and wood are present, becoming slightly astringent towards the finish.
Finish
Long, with cherry and wood notes, very dry and persistent. It also features cinnamon, licorice, chinotto, and a little acrid and pungent character with lovely grapefruits in the aftertaste.
