Description
A Speyside malt distillery built by Seagram Company in the 1950s to supply its various blends. Despite being closed in 1999, it was later re-opened by Pernod Ricard who went on to revive its single malt brand as well, including it in its Secret Speyside collection in 2019. Glen Keith was founded in 1957–58 and was an experimental distillery, at one stage running triple-distilled spirit, carrying out yeast and mash trials, and becoming the first distillery to use gas-fired direct heating. It was mothballed in 1999, reopened in 2013, and is generally associated with a light, fruity Speyside style.
