Nose
Holy complex fruits! The expected Speyside orchard fruit - fresh pear and Golden Delicious apple - quickly expands to include cantaloupe, watermelon, champagne grapes, passionfruit and citrus (pineapple and lemon juice). A flourish of vanilla and oak supplements the fruit basket, and after a rest, suggestions of fresh-cut grass, sweet basil and star anise emerge as well.
Palate
The fruit rolls across the tongue, expressing sweet-tart apple, fresh pear, green grapes, lemon zest, pineapple and passionfruit, all chopped up and drizzled with honey. Toward the end, some nutmeg and sweet malt emerge as well.
Finish
About average-length. Honey, sweet rose and that lovely fruit basket (here it's cantaloupe, watermelon, passionfruit, lemon, kumquat and slightly underripe pineapple) slowly fade out, along with just a touch of vanilla and oak. Vague sweet herbs emerge after a little while as well.
