Nose
Soft dried fruits, honeyed malt and light toffee, with hints of old oak and gentle spice. Salted dark chocolate with caramel, linseed oil, varnish, old leather chair, charcoal, light woodsmoke, roasted salted peanuts, leafy and somewhat herbal (dried basil or oregano), geranium leaf, sage honey.
Palate
Refined and composed, delivering malt sweetness, baked apple and subtle sherry notes, balanced by polished wood and mild herbal tones. Light woodsmoke, rust and salt, black pepper, peanut brittle, green olives in brine, fire roasted red peppers, grilled vegetables, chocolate caramel cookie, burnt plastic.
Finish
Long, calm and gently drying, leaving lingering malt, soft spice and elegant oak. Burnt rubber, sage honey, very salty and still savory, blueberry, fading to dry, gentle smoke.
