Description
A Speyside malt distillery that was originally built as a brewery in 1828 before converting to whisky production in 1897. It was an important part of the Macdonald & Muir portfolio in the 20th century, however as of 2008 has been owned by the La Martinquaise division of COFEPP in France. This vintage limited edition was first laid down in 1988 and matured for 25 years in American oak casks, before a final finish in select port casks from Portugal. This single malt is described as uniquely rich and elegant, embodying a quarter-century of Glen Moray heritage. [1, 9, 13]
