Nose
Sweet, dense and indulgent, with notes of Jamaican ginger cake, sticky toffee pudding, treacle tart, and warm caramel sauce. Also hints of yeast, brine, golden raisin, and barley eau de vie.
Palate
More ginger cake, richly fruited and spiced sponge with currants, sultanas, dried peel, glacé cherries, and nostalgic spotted dick with hot vanilla custard. Sweet and plummy, with almond, cherry, caramel, dried cherry, dried currant, black raisin, and black peppercorn.
Finish
Spicy and long, full of dried fruit and a hint of plum, with notes of chocolate fudge and sweet cinnamon.
