Description

The flagship malt from this independently owned Speyside distillery. Distilled, matured and bottled in Scotland by The GlenAllachie Distillers Co. Limited. Non Chill Filtered and Natural Colour. The name GlenAllachie, from the Gaelic 'Gleann Aileachaidh', means 'Valley of the Rocks'. This is an old bottling of the 12 year old expression, which underwent a redesign in 2024.

Nose
Rich and intense with fresh and dried fruits like banana, apple, cherry, pineapple, figs, and dates. Notes of vanilla, sweet ginger, cinnamon, caramel, dried orange peel, mocha, molasses, and cumin. Heather honey and dark chocolate are also present.
Palate
Full-bodied and spicy with dark sherry notes, coffee, chocolate, dates, and sweet spices. Honey, marzipan, bananas, butterscotch, raisins, mocha, dark chocolate, caramel, apricot, malty, lemon zest, oily, starfruit, light oak, and cinnamon.
Finish
Medium to long, with lingering chocolate (bittersweet/dark cocoa), spicy nuances (clove, pepper), oak dryness, and dried fruit sweetness.
