Description
A Speyside malt distillery located in the town after which it is named. It was built in 1967 by Mackinlay-McPherson and was traded around several notable distilling companies before being sold to Billy Walker in 2017. Under current ownership, its single malt has emerged as well-respected brand. This well-aged Speyside single malt was laid down at the Glenallachie distillery on the 11th December 1978 and bottled in February 2018 in celebration of the distillery's 50th Anniversary. Matured in a single Sherry butt, this was one of the first few inaugural whiskies released by Glenallachie since the takeover by Billy Walker.
