Description

The Glencadam 15 Year Old is a core expression from the Glencadam distillery, wholly matured in American oak ex-bourbon casks. Bottled at 46% ABV, it is natural color and unchillfiltered, offering a beautifully balanced, fruity, and creamy East Highland single malt. This expression was first released in 2005 and re-released in 2009 with updated packaging and a higher strength. It has received numerous accolades, including an outstanding score of 98 points at the 2022 International Wine & Spirits Competition.

Nose
Fragrant, spicy aromas of gingerbread and cinnamon cut through bright citrus, orchard fruit, and beeswax. Also notes of ripe apples, yellow peaches, pears, jasmine flowers, and lime rind.
Palate
Sweet malt, brown sugar, cinnamon dusted apple turnovers, and fresh pineapple slices. Creamy mouthfeel with vanilla, a big hit of cinnamon, grapefruit peel, and some liquorice.
Finish
Medium length with ginger spice, cask char, light coffee, and oak. Reminiscent of fruit pastry, citrus peel, liquorice, and cinnamon and ginger spice.
