Description
One of two malt distilleries in the Scotch whisky holdings of Angus Dundee Distillers, under whom its single malt brand has quietly developed strong reputation. It was built in 1825 by George Cooper and prior to the 21st century was mostly utilised for the provision of various blenders. The Glencadam distillery has passed through several ownerships since it was founded by George Cooper in 1825 - including Hiram Walker, Ballantine's and Allied Domecq - before being sold to current owners, Angus Dundee Plc in 2003. It is used in blends such as Stewart's Cream of the Barley and Ballantine's, but has also produced a number of official bottlings since 2010. Selected and bottled for The Glencadam distillery.
