Description

A litre bottle of The Glendronach 15 Year Old Single Highland Malt Scotch Whisky, matured exclusively in sherry casks. This release was the flagship whisky for Glendronach in the 1990s before its closure in 1996. The Glendronach 100% sherry cask matured Single Highland Malt is a sensory experience unique among malt whiskies, a big, full-bodied, complex and rich spirit that fills the mouth with luscious sherry malt flavours. The distillery uses traditional hand-crafted methods, including a traditional malting floor, great wooden washbacks, coal-fired copper stills and stone warehouses. It may take a full 15 years to draw out the Glendronach's full character, resulting in a sweetness tinged with oak and light peat smoke.
