Description

Matured in a legendary batch of oloroso sherry casks, this Glendronach was distilled in 1971 and released in 2004 to great acclaim. At the time, it was considered the oldest Glendronach ever released. It received a Gold Medal at the San Francisco Spirits Competition and was described by Jim Murray as a 'Golden nugget of a dram'. The distillery is located in Forgue by Huntly in the eastern Highland region of Scotland.

Rich and sweet with stewed fruits, dark berries, chocolate cherries, and dry sherry notes. Hints of orange-cinnamon, black licorice, marzipan, coffee, nutmeg, and cardamom.
Palate
Elegant and rich with spiced fruits, raisins, dates, molasses, and red cherries. Notes of bitter chocolate sauce, walnut cake, mocha, vanilla, and dry sherry.
Finish
Smooth and flavorful with lingering dried fruits, oak, coffee, and Spanish brandy. Hints of almonds, walnuts, and dry orange zest.
