Description

This 14-year-old Glendronach expression was initially matured in European oak casks before being finished in a very small batch of Marsala hogsheads, which imparted unique flavors and aromas. This limited edition release was bottled in 2016 at 46% ABV, without coloring or chill filtration.

Fairground candy apples, hints of stem ginger and warm white pepper combine with delicate, sweet barley notes. Crisp apple and pear sweeten to apricot syrup and ripe gooseberry, with a citrus twist and a touch of black pepper.
Palate
Vibrant and fresh green apple develops to vanilla fudge and pear drops. Rich oak balances sweet and spicy characteristics, with cinnamon-dusted tarte Tatin, green apple skin, stem ginger, candied peel, and rich stewed barley.
Finish
Deliciously balanced, bringing ripe orchard fruits and delicate, sweet oak spices to the traditional, robust Highland character, with a long succulent finish.
